Data loss prevention should be pre-requisite for Copilot, CRN Channel Meets attendees told – Channel Meets – Security

At a recent security event, cybersecurity professionals advised companies to implement safety features like data loss prevention and sensitivity labeling before using Copilot, a Microsoft 365 product. Many companies still struggle to understand what data they need to protect and where it’s stored. It was recommended that companies undergo AI readiness assessments, maintain a minimum standard of security, and simplify cybersecurity insurance. Security clearance for third party vendors and automated solutions were also discussed.
