Data of 5.82M PharMerica patients stolen, accessed during cyberattack

PharMerica, a long-term care pharmacy solution provider, has reported a cyberattack that compromised the data of more than 5.81 million patients. The breach, which involved the alleged theft of names, contact information, social security numbers, prescription and health insurance data, was detected in March. Despite claims by the Money Message ransomware group that they carried out the attack, PharMerica insists there is no evidence of misuse of the stolen data.
