Data stolen in cyber attack on health board published on dark web
Cybercriminals have published patient and staff data from NHS Dumfries and Galloway onto the dark web. The hackers gained access to a large amount of data at the end of February, and despite investigations and assistance from the National Cyber Security Centre, Police Scotland and the Scottish government, they have now released more data, causing anxiety and security worries. A Police Scotland investigation remains ongoing and a helpline has been set up for anyone affected.
