Data stolen in cyber attack on health board published on dark web

Cyber criminals have released sensitive data, including patient and staff identifiable information, from NHS Dumfries and Galloway onto the dark web. The attack on the NHS started at the end of February, with hackers threatening to publish more data, a promise they have now fulfilled. To address escalating fears, a helpline has been established, while the National Cyber Security Centre, Police Scotland, and Scottish Government are investigating.
