UK healthcare organisations have been heavily targeted by ransomware and cyber attacks, with 81% experiencing an attack last year. Many such incidences led to cancellations of patient appointments and increased mortality rates. The outdated IT and IoT systems used by healthcare providers, together with their lack of visibility of the network, increase the industry’s vulnerability.
