DirectTrust working on new faxing standard for secure interoperability

HITRUST is convening the Interoperable Secure Cloud Fax Consensus Body to develop a new standard improving the security features of fax-based exchange, specifically in healthcare. The standard aims to allow industries that largely use fax communications to benefit from modern interoperability frameworks without drastic changes to existing workflows and infrastructure. It will enable document exchanges through multiple Cloud Fax platforms with improved security and identity assurance.
