A recent survey conducted by GfK Roper on behalf of Practice Fusion found that a majority of physicians believe that electronic health records (EHRs) are safer than paper records. They cited accessibility of data as the top safety benefit. However, patient perception remains mixed, with nearly half of respondents believing paper records are safer. The survey also found that physicians who prefer EHRs value access to records when needed, while those who prefer paper records believe they are more secure and private.
