Doctor devises new database methodology to thwart hackers and end big data breaches
William Yasnoff, a healthcare and technology veteran, has created a personal grid approach to tuning relational databases in order to improve security against hackers. The approach organises data within a traditional relational database management system so that each record is stored in a separate file and encrypted individually. Although this may slow down searching for specific records, Yasnoff argues that the increased security is worth the minor inconvenience.
