Downfall mod used to spread malware, say devs

Table9, the developer behind the popular Slay the Spire’s Downfall mod, suffered a security breach on Christmas Day. Hackers released malware via Steam attempting to steal users’ passwords from their browsers, and messaging apps Discord and Telegram. Although it initially struggled to warn users due to hijacked accounts, the breach was eventually contained and reversed, making Downfall safe to download again.
