eHealth Exchange waives HIE fees to encourage interoperability

State and local health information exchanges have been promised waived fee incentives to adopt eHealth Exchange’s or the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement program. Health Information Networks’ adoption and interaction with public health under TEFCA could ensure a healthier U.S. population and accelerate vital public health data interoperability across healthcare. Members must commit to exchanging data by April 30, test by June 30, and go live by December 30.
