Email chain mishap exposes data of 3,700
Hope Community Resources of Alaska, a nonprofit that provides health services to people with disabilities, accidentally sent out an email chain containing the personal and health information of 3,700 disabled clients. The email was sent to state employees and others working with the disabled and pertained to the potential loss of funding. The organization plans to notify those affected and apologize for the privacy breach. Some clients are concerned that the leaked information could lead to discrimination.
