Ensign InfoSecurity’s latest Cyber Threat Landscape report discloses 2022’s top threat trends and insights into key topics. It highlights Singapore’s energy, water utilities, healthcare, and transport as the most vulnerable sectors. Ransomware, Wiperware, and Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) were proliferating, with threat groups from China surpassing those from Russia and North Korea. The report further showed advanced uses of generative AI (GAI) by threat actors and defenders, and emphasized the growing need for AI-powered technologies, policies and ethical frameworks for cybersecurity.
