Healthcare software company Epic Systems plans to transition all its affiliated hospitals to the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) by the end of 2025, aiming for 100% interoperability. This adheres to the 21st Century Cures Act, enabling data exchange across different EHR systems. The switch targets improved patient care, enhanced communication between providers, and cost cutbacks.
