Exposed: Russian military Unit 29155 does digital sabotage, espionage

Five Russian hackers, identified as part of the Unit 29155 of the Russian General Staff Main Intelligence Directorate, have been tied by the US Department of Justice to the 2022 WhisperGate wiper malware attacks on Ukrainian establishments and subsequent attacks on NATO member countries. The Unit 29155, responsible for cyber campaigns like data exfiltration and leak operations, is reportedly aided by Russian cyber-criminals, and has targeted sectors like finance, transportation, energy, and healthcare in NATO members, the EU, and Central American and Asian countries.
