Fake Lockdown Mode Exposes iOS Users to Malware Attacks
Cybersecurity researchers at Jamf Threat Labs have found a flaw in Apple’s Lockdown Mode for iOS devices, enabling malware to bypass the mode’s restrictions. This technique can be exploited if the device is already compromised. Despite a user activating Lockdown Mode, malware could intercept the action and mimic its activation, leaving the device vulnerable. Apple has patched this vulnerability in iOS 17, but users are advised to stay cautious and regularly update their devices.
