FBI and CIA investigate Pueblo County School District data breach

The personal information of present workers and past pupils of the Pueblo County School District 70 (D70) in Colorado may have been jeopardized in a data breach discovered on 17 May. The breach, believed to have started on 27 April, potentially affected student and worker records between 1991-2006. The breach, which the district said is being probed by the CIA and FBI, was ransomware in nature.
