FBI Focuses on Cybersecurity With $90M Budget Request

FBI Director Christopher Wray has asked for over $63m in new funding to counter cyber threats in 2024. Presenting to the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, Wray said if every FBI cyber agent focused on China, Chinese hackers would outnumber personnel 50 to 1, highlighting the challenge. The funding request includes an additional 192 positions as well as enhancing information sharing abilities and improving cyber defense tools.
