FBot malware emerges as significant threat to cloud and payment services

SentinelLabs has released a report warning of a new Python-based malware, FBot, which targets cloud and payment services, including AWS, Office365, and PayPal. Unlike similar malware, FBot is not derived from the Androxgh0st code and is more focused in its distribution strategy. Features include a range of tools to attack various accounts, and the ability to hijack AWS accounts. SentinelLabs has advised organisations to increase their vigilance and enable multifactor authentication for AWS accounts.
