A sophisticated malware campaign has been targeting healthcare and public health sectors for the past year. The threat actors use stolen administrative credentials and certificates to install refined malware implants on critical systems. The hackers are using multiple malware variants that can’t be detected by anti-virus software. The campaign also targets energy, communications, IT, and critical manufacturing industries. Officials recommend adopting multiple defensive techniques to increase the likelihood of detection and decrease the likelihood of a successful compromise.
