File links on Discord will expire after a day to tackle malware

Discord is set to introduce temporary file links for all users to counter security threats. Refreshed every 24 hours, these links will replace Discord’s permanent file hosting which posed a threat due to misuse. The move will not affect users sharing content via the Discord client. Previously, around 10,000 malware samples stored on Discord’s content delivery network were discovered.
