Finding success in localising digital tech

Salveo Healthcare has launched a pilot of Spirit Health’s Clinitouch remote patient technology in its home of Tasmania. Part of its Advanced Preventative Care initiative, the four-month scheme will enable nurses to remotely monitor patients, reducing avoidable hospitalisations and providing more timely responses to health changes. Clinitouch is being trailed in four disease pathways: COPD, diabetes, heart failure, and ischaemic heart disease. The tech has been in use in the UK for over a decade, and Salveo CEO Steve McCullagh said it was chosen as it was user-friendly and already had proven results.
