FinTech Evolve Bancorp Hit by Major Ransomware Attack

Russian ransomware gang, Lockbit, claims to have stolen 33 terabytes of banking information from the U.S. Federal Reserve. Lockbit released files belonging to Evolve Bank and Trust when their ransom demands were not met. The release reportedly includes customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Evolve Bank, which partners with many fintechs, is investigating the situation in conjunction with law enforcement and government agencies.
