Found: 280 Android apps that use OCR to steal cryptocurrency credentials

The discovery of over 280 fake Android apps using optical character recognition (OCR) to steal cryptocurrency wallet credentials has been reported. The apps, disguised as legitimate banks, government services, utilities, and TV streaming apps, take text messages, contacts, and stored images from infected devices and send them to remote servers controlled by the app creators.
