Fred Hutch notifies more patients of November 2023 attack

In a November 2023 cyberattack, UW’s Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) had patient data exfiltrated and patients extorted. Despite the data being leaked and even put up for sale by threat actors, 890,959 patients were not informed about the data breach. Fred Hutch remained unresponsive to inquiries from DataBreaches regarding the matter and their decisions on alerting patients.
