Free Download Manager site redirected Linux users to malware for years

Free Download Manager supply chain attacks have been redirecting Linux users to a malicious repository that installs data-stealing malware, a campaign that cyber security firm Kaspersky discovered had been running for three years. Due to the software vendor not responding, it’s unclear exactly how the compromise happened, and, despite the attack being targeted, the means of selection are unknown.
