French Authorities Launch Operation to Remove PlugX Malware from Infected Systems

French judicial authorities and Europol are conducting a “disinfection operation” to counter PlugX malware that has compromised certain servers. Initiated on 18 July, the operation is expected to run for several months and has already aided around 100 victims in Europe. Sekoia, a French cybersecurity firm, exposed the malware which is used by China-nexus threat actors and can execute arbitrary commands.
