French health insurance company Mutuelle Nationale des Hospitaliers (MNH) has been hit by a ransomware attack, disrupting its healthcare operations. The attack is attributed to the RansomExx group, known for targeting high-profile organizations such as Brazil’s government networks and Texas Department of Transportation. MNH’s website displays a notice acknowledging the cyberattack and reassuring users that efforts are being made to restore services. RansomExx’s ransom note threatens “serious problems” if instructions are not followed, potentially endangering confidential health data.
