Geisinger saves $560K in pilot integrating video visits into Epic MyChart

Geisinger Behavioral Health has integrated its EHR patient portal, MyChart, into its telemedicine services to overcome issues with pre-visit preparations. The initiative has streamlined the process for patients to complete pre-visit questionnaires and document signing, resulting in an improvement in overall service compliance. Since the programme’s launch, 96% of patients completed e-signatures on required documents, while 81% completed all aspects of E-Check.
