Get a handle on insider threats with industry intel

Suneel Sundar, senior manager of cyber new professionals at MITRE, will be presenting on insider techniques and trends in IT systems at the HIMSS Healthcare Cybersecurity Forum in Boston. Sundar’s session will address insider threats, using the Insider Threat TTP Knowledge Base to analyze techniques. The knowledge base, launched by MITRE, aims to guide insider threat mitigation programs. Sundar emphasizes the importance of cross-industry collaboration to understand and address healthcare’s insider threat schemes. The most common insider threat is data exfiltration, often through external media, email, or cloud storage, and insiders typically plan their actions before executing them.
