Gh0st RAT Trojan Targets Chinese Windows Users via Fake Chrome Site

Cybersecurity firm eSentire has found a remote access trojan called Gh0st RAT being distributed to Chinese-speaking Windows users via a fake Google Chrome download website. The sophisticated malware can capture screenshots, terminate processes, and execute remote commands among other damaging activities. The source of the trojan is heavily linked to cyberespionage groups in China. This increase in drive-by downloads highlights the need for continual cybersecurity training and user awareness.
