Gifted Healthcare has agreed to a class action settlement over a data breach in 2021. The breach allegedly revealed sensitive patient data, with plaintiffs arguing that the breach could have been prevented with better cybersecurity measures. Despite not admitting any wrongdoing, Gifted Healthcare has agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the lawsuit. Settlement benefits include reimbursement for data breach expenses of up to $400, and up to $4,000 for extraordinary expenses, such as losses from identity theft or fraud.
