Google DeepMind’s Streams technology branded ‘phenomenal’
Google’s DeepMind application that detects acute kidney infections has been described as “phenomenal” by an NHS consultant nurse. Sarah Stanley, who leads a team at the Royal Free hospital in North London, said the software was saving her team significant time. The hospital was one of a group that provided DeepMind with a controversial amount of patient data for machine learning development. Google’s machine learning tech sends test results to the mobiles of medical staff, allowing them to respond faster to at-risk patients.
