Google Opens Third Cybersecurity Hub in Europe
Google has launched its Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) in Málaga, Spain, aimed at developing and scaling cybersecurity research and tools. The center will foster collaboration between experts, academics, businesses and governments on cybersecurity best practices. Furthermore, Google has pledged $10m to foster cybersecurity skills training and aid community organizations. The tech company has flagged the increasing sophistication, cost and aggressiveness of cyber threats as undermining trust and calls for enhanced security measures.
