Google’s DeepMind developing blockchain-like tech to track health data

Google-owned artificial intelligence company, DeepMind, is developing a technology similar to blockchain to securely track patient health data. The Verifiable Data Audit project aims to give hospitals and eventually patients real-time insight into the use of their data, making it auditable and verifiable. DeepMind plans to implement the first pieces of this new technology later this year.
