Government tech tsar warns of AI cyber threat to NHS

The UK government’s artificial intelligence (AI) tsar, Ian Hogarth, has warned that cybercriminals could use AI to attack the National Health Service. Hogarth stated that such disruption could be on the scale of the Covid-19 pandemic. He highlighted the importance of international collaboration in tackling these global risks and noted the progress in developing AI systems capable of writing code.
