GP fears patients will suffer harm after NHS cyber attack

The NHS has launched an urgent appeal for O blood-type donors following a ransomware attack which affected some of London’s largest hospitals and impacted six NHS trusts. The attack meant that routine blood tests were cancelled across numerous hospitals and GP surgeries, which has in turn affected hundreds of thousands of patients. It is expected that the disruption to services will continue until at least the end of the month.
