A ransomware attack on the NHS in London has led to operations being cancelled at six large trusts, and has provoked an urgent appeal for type O blood donors. The attack, carried out by Russian cyber criminal group Qilin, has caused significant disruption to primary care, with doctors unable to process routine blood tests. Dr James Taylor, of the South Street Medical Centre, expressed concerns about short and long-term harm to patients.
