GTPase Targeting Approach Points to Route for Drug Discovery

Scientists at the University of California, San Francisco have discovered a method to target a previously un-druggable class of molecular switches, GTPases, which are associated with numerous diseases such as Parkinson’s and cancer. The team tested drugs that target a cancer-causing GTPase, revealing new treatment routes and that these GTPases are now available for drug discovery.
