A podiatry office in Connecticut has alerted 40,491 patients that their health information may have been compromised by cybercriminals. The office’s computer systems were illegally accessed between February 22 and April 14 of this year. The potentially breached information includes names, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, health insurance information, names of physicians, and medical histories. The office has hired computer forensics experts to assist with the investigation and has offered affected patients a year of free credit monitoring services.
