Hacked Healthcare: New KnowBe4 Report Shines a Spotlight on Cybersecurity Crisis in Sector

Global healthcare organisations faced an average of 1,613 cyberattacks per week in the first three quarters of 2023, four times the worldwide average, according to the International Healthcare Report by KnowBe4. It showed that Africa had the highest average number of weekly cyberattacks, and ransomware was the most common attack for healthcare organisations. The report also highlighted the poor security measures taken by hospitals, the high target for cybercriminals and the consequences of such attacks.
