Hackers Actively Exploiting Vulnerability to Deploy Mirai Malware
Hackers are actively exploiting a high-severity vulnerability in QNAP VioStor NVR devices to deploy malware, according to cybersecurity researchers at Akamai. The flaw, CVE–2023-47565, allows attackers to exploit known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in the devices for unauthorized access, potentially compromising sensitive information. QNAP recommends upgrading VioStor firmware on unsupported devices and changing default passwords to ensure safety.
