A recent cyberattack has affected popular password manager KeePass, where malware hidden in Google Ads impersonates the site through a misleading link that appears at the top of search results. The link uses Punycode to replace the K in KeePass with an almost indistinguishable alternative, tricking users into visiting a virus-infested site instead. Experts suggest using adblocker extensions and antivirus apps to stay safe.
