Hackers Exploit Misconfigured Jupyter Notebooks with Repurposed Minecraft DDoS Tool

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a new distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack campaign targeting misconfigured Jupyter Notebooks, according to security firm Aqua. The attack, coined Panamorfi, uses a Java-based tool called mineping to execute a TCP flood DDoS attack designed for Minecraft game servers. The campaign is believed to be orchestrated by a threat actor known as yawixooo.
