Hacks at Twin Cities medical firms affect more than 1 million customers

Two Twin Cities healthcare companies, MNGI Digestive Health and Consulting Radiologists, have reported significant data breaches, compromising personal data of 1.35 million consumers. Details breached include Social Security, driver’s license, passport numbers, birthdates and medical, health insurance, and payment information. Health care is highly susceptible to cyberattacks due to the high value of patient records and propensity to pay a ransom.
