Hamas-linked APT uses Rust-based SysJoker backdoor against Israel
A Hamas-linked Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) group is using a Rust-based version of the SysJoker backdoor, first discovered in 2021, against Israeli organisations. The malware enables the operator to gather system information and issue commands from a remote server. Researchers from Check Point spotted similarities with the Operation Electric Powder campaign, believed to be linked to Hamas.
