Hampshire: No hospital beds as critical incident reinstated

Hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester reportedly have no free beds left, which has forced the National Health Service (NHS) to reinstate critical incidents across Hampshire, England. Chief nursing officer Nicky Lucey has stated that health and care services are under heavy strain, and the public is being urged to get flu vaccinations. Of the seven NHS trusts in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, five are on critical incident alerts due to winter pressures.
