Hancock’s failure to declare family firm’s NHS work a ‘minor breach’ of rules
Health Secretary Matt Hancock has been found to have committed a “minor” breach of the ministerial code for failing to declare that a family firm he holds shares in won an NHS contract. Although the award could represent a conflict of interest, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said no further action is needed. Traditionally, a breach of the code has led to the resignation of ministers.
