Hancock’s failure to declare family firm’s NHS work a ‘minor breach’ of rules

UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock committed a “minor” breach of the ministerial code by failing to declare a family firm he held shares in won an NHS contract, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s ethics adviser, Lord Geidt, concluded. Despite recognising a potential conflict of interest, Geidt agreed Hancock’s failure to declare was unintentional and no further action was required.
