HCA deploys AI from Augmedix for acute care documentation in EDs

San Francisco-based Augmedix has launched an AI-powered software called Augmedix Go for emergency medical documentation. Developed in partnership with physicians at four HCA Healthcare hospitals, the software utilises automatic speech recognition and natural language processing. It is used in noisy emergency department environments to document multiple interactions with patients, decision-making, patient progress updates, and re-evaluations. Test pilot clinicians lauded its audio capture, note quality, and AI accuracy. The AI tool enables the drafting of medical notes instantly through a hands-free mobile application.
