Health Benefits Administrator Reports 3rd-Party Hack to SEC

Healthcare benefits provider HealthEquity has suffered a data breach after third-party vendor credentials were compromised, resulting in the theft of personal and health information related to some of its members. Despite the breach, HealthEquity said its operations and IT systems were unaffected, and that there was no malicious code found in its systems. The firm, which services over 120,000 organisations and 14 million members, is yet to identify those affected.
